Do you ever feel like you’re hijacked by your own reactions? One minute, you’re fine, and the next, you’re snapping at someone, shutting down completely, or spiralling into overthinking everything.
At times you might feel like a stranger in your own life—disconnected, stuck or unsure of who you even are anymore. Or maybe for you, it’s like your emotions have their own agenda, and no matter how much you try to logic your way through, they just won’t cooperate.
If you’ve been feeling this way, you’re not alone, and you’re definitely not broken. Your brain and body learned ways to protect you, but now those same patterns are keeping you from actually living. While it might not feel like it right now, change is possible.
Therapy isn’t about forcing yourself to “just be positive” or “get over it.” It’s about learning how to work with yourself instead of feeling like you’re constantly at war with your own mind.
Let’s get you back to you.

A Bit About Me as A Counsellor
I specialize in working with adult women who’ve experienced relational trauma, including childhood trauma, sexual assault, intimate partner violence, and religious harm. My approach is trauma-informed and focuses on integrating the mind and body. I use somatic therapy, polyvagal theory, and parts work to help clients process the impact trauma has had on their lives and relationships.
You already know how to survive in crisis—that's been your reality. In therapy, we’ll build on that strength, but we’ll also focus on expanding your capacity for joy. We’ll bring laughter and fun into the space to help your nervous system readjust to a more balanced baseline, making healing feel more holistic and integrated.
Healing isn't a linear process, and I focus on meeting you where you are. We’ll work together to build understanding around your experiences and develop practical tools to navigate the challenges of recovery. My goal is to create space for you to rebuild trust in yourself and move toward greater balance in your life.
My Approach to Counselling
My work is grounded in:
Somatic Therapy: Helping you tune into your body’s wisdom and complete stress responses that have been stuck for years
Parts Work (TIST & IFS-Informed): Exploring and integrating the different parts of you that show up in protection, pain, and strength
Polyvagal Theory: Understanding how your nervous system shapes your emotions, behaviors, and relationships
Trauma-Informed & Anti-Oppressive Practice: Honoring the ways power, culture, and identity impact your healing process
Healing is not about erasing the past; it’s about finding a way to live fully in the present. My hope is that through our work together, you will begin to trust yourself more deeply, relate to your emotions with kindness, and feel empowered to create the life you want—not just the one you’ve been conditioned to accept.
If this resonates with you, I invite you to reach out. You don’t have to navigate this alone.
I hold a Master of Counselling degree from Adler University
I welcome clients of all cultures, genders, sexual orientations, abilities and relationship styles and strive to offer a safe space for 2SLGBTQIA, BIPOC folks.
